CAROLINE B.
I’m the owner and principal planner of Iris and Oak Events, proud to be a small-town girl from Abbeville, Louisiana. After graduating from LSU, I moved to New Orleans to begin my career in the event industry, and I instantly fell in love with this vibrant city. Now, after nine incredible years, I can confidently say I never want to leave.
Event planning comes second nature to me. As a natural-born leader, I take pride in being the trusted partner my clients rely on to bring their dream weddings to life. I recognize that having a knowledgeable support system is essential for my clients, and I truly enjoy being that unwavering source of support for them.
When I’m not planning or coordinating a wedding, you can find me attending one of the many festivals that New Orleans has to offer, dining at Saffron, or at the dog park with my Goldendoodle, Krewe.
MINNIE W.
I’m the social media manager and lead event producer, bringing a blend of creativity and organization to every project. As a Kansas City native, I know a thing or two about good food. After graduating from the University of Kansas, I followed my heart (and my stomach) to New Orleans.
One of my favorite moments of event planning is witnessing how all the details come together to bring our clients’ vision to life after months of thoughtful planning. Undergrowth Coffee fuels my focus, while the love my clients share inspires my work.

As a lead event producer at Iris and Oak Events, I bring a passion for celebrating New Orleans and its unique charm with every client. Born and raised here, I ventured to Ole Miss for college, but always felt the pull to come back home.
For me, the best part of the planning journey is stepping back at the end of the night, seeing it all come to life, and knowing the impact of every detail that went into making the day truly special.
When I’m not busy planning weddings, you’ll find me at Ye Olde College Inn, experimenting in the kitchen with new baking recipes, or traveling the globe to see my favorite artists perform.
Maddie C.
I’m the lead designer dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind experiences that reflect each client’s unique vision. Originally from New Orleans, I spent over 8 years at Auburn University, earning both my undergrad and master’s degrees until I found my way back to my favorite city.
I love the moments in the planning process where the design truly reflects the couple’s personality- especially those weddings filled with bold colors and funky patterns.
When I'm not helping design unforgettable moments, you can catch me staying active through pottery, tennis, or aerial yoga. I also teach step classes at Swoot! Feel free to say hello if you see me out and about!
